Diazpora
Diazpora have been on their way to the perfect funk track since 2002, searching for that one groove, that special feeling that everyone knows who has ever spent a night with early soul and funk on the dancefloor. Often the 9 guys from Hamburg thought they had already reached their goal - only to play on again - more songs, new grooves have to be created, discovered, found.
Four studio albums and various singles testify to the development, the search and the stage goals that this band has achieved on its way. The journey can now be followed into today with Diazpora ́s new album "Islands". Explosive dancefloor material with sweaty grooves and razor-sharp horn sections is the essence of what the band around their singer Axel is all about. But also soulful and abysmal-psychedelic moments find their place in the casual, unobtrusively complex arrangements of the band.
Whether in small clubs, on big festival stages (e.g. the Elbjazz Festival), or on street music tours across Europe, the Hamburg band has constantly developed its very own style without forgetting its great role models of the 60s/70s. Authentic analogue live in the studio captured what makes Diazpora at their concerts: Pure energy, wild virtuosity and unbridled joy of playing!
